Established in 1999 with a donation of $100k, today we manage UC San Diego’s $1M+ alumni endowment fund. The Student Foundation Investment Committee (SFIC) is composed of multiple divisions: Asset Management, Quantitative Technologies, and the Undergraduate Investment Society. Our 50+ members represent a wide range of disciplines, including business, political science, computer science, applied mathematics, biology, and engineering. This diversity brings a wealth of perspectives, enabling us to craft innovative investment strategies and portfolio pitches. Over the past decade, our student-led efforts have generated more than $200k in funds, which are awarded annually as student scholarships, furthering our mission to give back to the UCSD community.
